It was 4 Years Ago that I Began this Weight Loss Journey for My Health
It was in August of 2015 that I started my weight loss journey to improve my health. I had made the decision to try one more time. Because basically I felt like if I didn’t do something, I may not be around for another 5 years.
I was tipping the scales at well OVER 330 Pounds.
I had given up and I was feeling really lost.
Over the years, I had tried everything and failed. When I was at this weight I had totally given up on myself. I wasn’t even trying to attempt to eat healthy.
This was me, at a family dinner the night before I started this journey.

Keto Fail? Or Just Negative Self Talk
My Keto Journey
I adopted a Keto way of eating back on August 3, 2015. For the first 14 months and while I lost the majority of my weight, I did not stray from eating low carb even once because I knew that if I did, it would be hard to get back on it.
During that time I managed to lose 155 pounds and I felt better than I have in years, since I was a teenager in fact.
Since then I have tried to stick with a low carb/ Keto lifestyle, but I am finding it harder especially when I go through super stressful times such as I did recently with my mother being ill and having surgery, or other times when there is an upset with my children. I have gained back some of the weight (the gain fluctuates between 30 and 40 pounds). Continue reading

I hit some bumps in the road over the holiday season. Well basically from about the beginning of November through until the New Year.
To be more truthful, they weren’t really “bumps” ~ I took a total keto break and wasn’t watching what I was eating at all. Except to watch all of the FULL CARB goodies I was shoving down my gullet hole.
