Keto Subscription Box: Keto Krate now ships to Canada

My First ever Keto Snack Box

I’ve been eating a low carb ketogenic lifestyle for the majority of the last 3 and a half years.

Because I live in Canada, sometimes it is more difficult to get all the cool low carb/keto products to try. They either don’t ship to Canada, or they are hugely expensive.

I’ve had my eye on The Keto Krate subscription box for a long time, but I could never get it shipped to Canada.  Every month I see my friend and mentor Lynn Terry (aka the Low carb Traveler) get her Keto Krate and discover cool new products and snacks.

In December, they finally started shipping the monthly subscription boxes to Canada.

I ordered one just in the last days of shipping for the January box. It took a bit to get here, but I’ve finally got my first Keto Krate. The good news is that my February box has already shipped and I should have it soon as well.

The reason I ordered it and want to try it out, is for the ease and convenience of it and to try new get to try new Keto Snacks without having to purchase a big box of each (in case I don’t like them).

Looking on my Credit card – I paid a total of $68.78 Canadian for this box.  Let’s see what’s inside.

I am not a big cooker, I am a busy Canadian mom, and I need things that are quick, easy and healthy for me to just grab and go.  Also eating with my crew of kids, I find it easy to slip off program when they are having snacks.  Unless I have something on hand and easy to grab, I will often slip up and grab something that is NOT healthy for me, and something that I will regret later.

My plan is to try the Keto Krate for a few months and see if it helps me to stay on track with my snacking.

ALSO – because I deserve a treat once in a while, don’t I?

I’m a “snacker” by nature, and so having all these cool new treats are exciting for me.

The January Keto Krate has 13 Keto Snack Foods in it:

I’ll break it down for you:

Chocolate Low Carb Keto Snacks

ChocoRite Chocolate Crispy Caramel Candy Bar⁣ – This bar has only 2 net carbs per serving.  I did some research and you can buy these on The Low Carb Grocery Box of 16-ChocoRite Snack, Chocolate Crispy Caramel

Note: The Low Carb Grocery ships free in Canada on orders over $100.

Kiss My Keto Chocolate Cookie Dough Keto Bar – This bar has 3 net carbs.  I found that you can buy a box of 12 on their website at Kiss My Keto although I have not checked on the shipping costs to Canada.

Sukrin USA Original Milk Chocolate Bar – This bar has 4 net carbs and are available at the Low Carb Grocery Sukrin NSA Milk Chocolate – Original

Synchro KetoManna Chocolate Wonderfood – I could only find these on their website Best Synchro. The site says they do ship to Internationally, but I am unsure of the shipping costs at this time as I have not placed an order with them.

I admit that since I’ve been eating a Ketogenic Diet, I enjoy chocolate a lot.  My favorite thing use to be salty snacks ( for years my main diet consisted of potato chips lol)

Salty Keto Snacks

Iota Roasted Sunflower Kernels These Roasted Sunflower Seeds are 3 net carbs per serving. I love sunflower seeds, but from a quick look around I have not found a place to purchase them in Canada.

Meals for Muscles Barbecue Pro-Puffs These pro-puffs are 3 net carbs per serving. They look like a cool little snack, and I am saving them from our movie night tonight. I was unable to find a Canadian link to purchase more.

Mexican Harvest Flax Crackers  I’ve never tried Flax Crackers.  These are 5 Net Carbs for a serving size of 5 crackers.  I checked and you can get them shipped to Canada, but shipping costs are more than the product.  Free shipping is available if you order more than $53.19 Canadian.

Pizootz Artisan Peanuts These are 4 net carbs per serving and17 grams of fat per serving.  I think I will really enjoy these as Salty snacks are my thing. I’m still searching for a link to purchase these in Canada.

Stryve Biltong Mesquite Barbecue Biltong Beef Stick  These look to me like they are 1 net carb.  I do see some Stryve products available on Amazon.ca, just not specifically this beef stick.

I just had this as a snack while I was working.  It has a nice flavor, but I’m not a huge fan of the texture of it.

Tomer Kosher Cajun Beef Stick – These Beef sticks have a net carb count of 1.  Again, I can not find a site where there is shipping available to Canada.

Dang Foods Matcha Plant-Based Keto Bar – These have 5 Net carbs and 15 grams of fat per serving.  I don’t see these available to purchase anywhere.  I do see that we do have some Dang products sold on Amazon.ca, just not this bar.

Ketowatt Original All Natural Keto Bar These bars have 4 net carbs and 17 grams of fat per serving.  But again these do not ship to Canada.

Nui Ginger Something Cookie These have 2 net carbs and 23 grams of fat.  I am still searching for a Canadian link.

I’m excited to have my first Keto Krate, and will check out the one coming in February, but to be honest having this box shipped to Canada cost almost double ($68.78 CDN) what it does to buy in the US after all is said and done.

I will have to decide whether or not it is worth the price for the items that I am receiving.

For now, I’m going to enjoy the snacks

Have you tried out any Keto Subscriptions Boxes?  I’m especially interested in the ones that you have tried in Canada.

Talk soon,

Heather
