Hello ~ My name is Heather Masson, and I’d like to take a minute to officially welcome you to my blog.  In this entry, I’m gonna tell you a little about myself, and my background, and why I want to share with you my readers and friends, ideas and methods so we can Learn to Earn Money At Home.

I am not a total newbie to the world of work at home, online marketing, and blogging.  I really started tinkering with websites and the internet as far back as 2004/05.  It gave me a way to keep my mind sharp, and give me something to think about other than my role at home as a caregiver to two high needs boys. At that time, my reasons for being online were completely different from what they are now, but gave me the opportunity to become familiar with the internet, with some of the scams that were running, and with the world of basic html and coding.

In 2006, and 2007 I had a blog very similar to this one.  It was called Home with Heather.  Again, I felt the need to have something for me other than my role as a caregiver.  But what I found at that time, was that I was able to help alot of other people (especially moms and other women) who had become my daily readers (and friends), and who were able to understand and put into practice what I was blogging about.  I LOVED that!!!!  We had become a little community and my goals had changed from earning money at home to helping others earn money at home.

At the end of 2007, one of my boys got very sick after a routine surgery (he almost died), and I quickly gave up my online efforts to concentrate on my family.  Well ~ days turned into months and before I knew it, all of my hosting and .com names had been bought up by others –  I can only assume it’s because I had an established readership and that Home with Heather was already ranking well in the search engines.

It seemed like all I did was blink a few times, and two years have come and gone.  And so here I am at the beginning again.   I have a new set of goals, a new picture, and a new dot com,  but hopefully I will be able to find my old friends — as well as make many new ones.
